How can i find out what type of memory i will need to
upgrade without going into my tower system first.
I know that i have 256 RAM but i want to upgrade.

And, if it's a generic computer?

He will still need to know, at least, his M/B manufacturer and M/B model
number to get anything useful out of the Crucial web site.

Hi try, taking one of your old memory cards with you when
buying.. Best way to be sure... The sale person will
take over.
