I'm buying my first motherboard that is non SDRAM, an Asus P4P800E Deluxe.
From my searching I've finally figured out that PC3200 is synonomous with
DDR400 memory. What I'm not clear on is if this is dual channel memory, or
if I want dual channel, if I have to look for something that specifically
says DDR400 dual channel or PC3200 dual channel. Thanks!

Dual channel is in the memory controller chip. In other words, it is a
feature of certain motherboards. Buy whatever DDR400 RAM you want to buy.
If your motherboard has dual channel memory support, then buy two (2) of
them. They do not need to be matched pairs. Some RAM manufacturers are
selling RAM in matched pairs, as a marketing gimmick only. -Dave

They should have the same spec's though. Getting them in matched pairs is
an easy way to get sticks with matching spec's. Sometimes the matched pairs
are less expensive as well.
