Hello,
I'm hoping someone in here can help me resolve a problem that is
plaguing an access app.
When most of my users are using this particular app they receive the
following message when attempting to close a form:

"There is not enough memory to perform this operation. Close unneeded
applications and then try the operation again."

Once they get this it's all over. I have to go in under task manager and
kill the MSACCESS.EXE process.
Please Help!!

Thank you for that link. However, I don't think it pertains to this
problem. The error does not mention anything about disk space or occurs
when modifying tables and the like. In fact, when using this particular
access app everything runs fine up until the user wishes to close the form
they are working with. These errors were happening to only a few users
every so often until recently when a change was made. Now all of a sudden
it is coming up more often for more users. The computers they have are not
the top of the line, most have only 500mhz and 128MB RAM but I find it hard
to believe that before this change they were on the cusp of getting this
error the whole time.

When you say "Clean out the temp files" are you referring to the
internet temp files or does access create other temp files somewhere. Also
does anyone know why this error occurs?

All temp files, including Internet. Access creates temp files usually in
your profile's directory that look like:

C:\Documents and Settings\Arvin\Local Settings\Temp\JET152.tmp

I have gone ahead and deleted these files from some of the most problematic
logins but they just got re-created so I'm not sure if that will solve the
problem.

If this was the cause do you have any idea why?...the computers all have
plenty of hard disk space.
