Memory drain.

Running xp pro 2.2 /w 512 memory, 60g hd half full. Working a picture gave
me a memory-out popup. No other program was running except usual background
programs. First time I've ran out of memory in the 2 years I've had this
machine.

Used to be that 'my computer' would show the amount of resources being used
and with xp, I don't find it. I know there are several programs with
'start', 'run' that will show all that and I can't remember a single one of
them. Can anyone help a forgetful old man? Maybe a list of 'em for
different applications. I promise to save the list.

Uhhh, how do I find task manager? I looked under control panel and even
did a complete search for that name and came up short.

I remember there used to be several that you ran under the start/run setup.

Ctrl...Alt..Delete brings up task manager.
