I've just discovered a 2GB file in c:\WINNT called MEMORY.DMP which is dated
March 2006. Presumably whatever problem prompted the dump it is long-since
sorted. Is there any danger in deleting this file?

Grateful for advice.

Delete it.

There is no danger deleting the file, you should bypass the Recycle Bin
for this large file, hold down the Shift key when you delete.

Memory dumps occur when things go wrong and can be used for diagnostics by
Microsoft. The only problem is they can be extremely large, taking up
considerable space. Deleting them is really the only option.
