RE: Intel mobo D865GBF

I am having a difficult time trying to figure out the configuration of the
RAM on this mobo I bought. I went to Intel.com and was confused on the
memory configuration. It mentions something about DS (double sideded
modules) & SS (single sided modules), which confuses me completely.

The P4 Processor is 533FSB. All I'm trying to do is locate the right (2)
256MB modules. If anyone can help, I would appreciate it. Which slots will I
be putting these in?

Write down the specs they give you (by clicking on one of the description
links for the RAM it finds that is compatible) and then use something like
pricewatch to find the best deal..

Remember all RAM is not created equal and cheapest does not mean best.
In particular the 30 day compatibility guarantee from Crucial or the
return policy from Kingston for their "specific" products is
definitely worth considering.
