Memory Bus has decreased

Since I have installed my CD RW , the memory bus (which shows up in the
first page after turning up the computer) has decreased from 400 MGH to 256
MGH..... This is really greasy....I don't have any problem with computer's
performance and the CPU and all the another hardware are working
properly....
What can the real problem be?

That is a matter of the machine's hardware - motherboard and BIOS. See
if there is a setting for it in the BIOS setup
