After the latest Microsoft update on my XP system I now
receive the following error everytime the sytem starts
up. The error comes after the user log in. "Memory Access
violation in module kernel32 at 7329:97163915" Does
anyone know what I need to do to get rid of it?

You installed the Swen virus not a Windows update - Microsoft NEVER SENDS
PATCHES through e-mail.

I did what you did. Is there a solution to stop the error
dialog box? Each time you restart you'll get a new
kernel32 number. Forward the solution, if you get one that
works.
Thanks

You need to remove the virus from your PC. That's the only solution that
can work.

I've got a couple new twists: I get the Memory Access
Violation error both at startup and when I try to launch
Norton Antivirus. Also, I've got a very suspicious dialog
box popping up: it's asking for *all* my info (user name,
password, POP3 and SMTP server names, etc.) (Obviously, I
haven't filled this out.)

Anyway, is this still the Swen virus? If so, what's the
fastest way to eradicate it? (My Norton software, per
above, appears to have been disabled by the virus.)

Any help appreciated.

Bruce
