meetings not showing on calandar

why is it that when i recieve meeting request and accept them they do not
show on my calandar, although i do get reminders for them> any help here as
to whether a view is on or something else set wrong?
 
Are you using a PST as your mail delivery point?
Do you see a SYSTEM MAIL FOLDER?
What version of Outlook are you using?
