Meeting requests auto-appear in calendars, but only on some clients!

Hi,

I have a situation I can't seem to resolve:

I have a small office of 10 people, all using Office 2003 Pro running
against an Exchange 2000 server. When one person sends out a meeting
request to the others, two of the recipients will have the item show
both as an email and as a calendar item prior to having accepted/denied
the request. All the other recipients will only receive the email
request. It is always the same two clients that receive the calendar entry.

I can find no setting or option, or mention on the web of a reg hack to
alter such a setting. The desired function of the employees is to have
just the email entry, not the calendar one until it is responded to.

I find no mention of this type of issue in the newsgroups, and using the
MS office support personnel, they simply said that if the clients
connect to Exchange it is an Exchange support issue, but I am not yet
convinced of that.

Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance.

What do these 2 have set under tools->options->calendar->resource
scheduling?
