MediaPlayer Won't Play Video Files Full Length

The past few weeks at seems like some of my video files are being
reported as being only a fraction of their play time. When the time
indicator reaches the end the file will still play but is stopping for
extended periods of time. Very annoying! Anyone help? Thanks...Scott.>

They're not mostly mpegs are they? It's quite common for some software to
come with it's own mpeg decoder, which override the system's default
decoder, alternatively it could of been a codec pack, which are
unfortunately proving quite popular these days, and so are there
after-effects.

Make sure to post to the Media Player group too, the people who would know
how to deal with it should be around there if uninstalling doesn't resolve
it.
