Why is there no Windows MediaPlayer 9.0 component in my Component list after
installing Q827132_xpe_sp2_x86_enu.exe?

It should be called "Windows Media Player 9.0 - QFE Q827132" in the
component list.

Can you check the Packages tab in Component Database Manager and see if
there is a package called "Windows XP Embedded with SP1 QFE Q827132"?
If that's not there, then the install was not successful.
