Since I installed SP2 I seem to have a later edition of Windows Media
Player. I have some songs in a play list that I tried to copy to a CD. I
incurred an error when it was trying to convert the files to be copied. It
said that there was not enough space on the hardrive for the temporary files.
I had my TMP and TEMP set to use my G: Ramdrive of 32 meg. So I changed it to
the C: drive which is 40 gigs with 75% free. It still gives me the same
error. Anyone have any suggestions? I did reboot several times and still get
the same error and I know that the TMP and TEMP path is going to the C: drive.
 
I have done all of this Raj, all to no avail. I have 75% free space on a
40 gig hardrive. Can you believe that Microsoft want $99.00 just to entertain
an e-mail from me seeking help with this problem?
 
Evidently the error being displayed is "not enough space on the hard
drive" when that is not actually the problem. I have run into these misnomers
in the past with other problems.

Is your C: drive FAT32? Are the TMP and TEMP variables directed
to the root folder of C:?

If the answer to both questions is yes, you are perhaps running
up against the limit of 64K entries in the root folder of C:. Set
TMP and TEMP to a subfolder, rather than the root folder.

Also clean out those temp files. You apparently have a lot of
them.
