media player not playing dvd

i don't understand why my media player 9.0 doesn't play my dvd's anymore.
some kind of digital copyright error. i am playing regular store dvd's. can
anyone help me. i can only get my dvd;s to play with windvd. i prefer
media player. help

the decoder i am using is windvd.
the exact message is "Windows Media Player cannot play this DVD because a
problem occurred with digital copyright protection."
this problem occurred only today. until now media player 9 has been my dvd
default player. no problems.
this is the Error ID = 0xC00D1163, Condition ID = 0x00000000
from the more info button.

i can play my dvds with WINDVD.
maybe this further info helps.

Try uninstalling WinDVD (or reinstalling).
You can also check out http://membres.lycos.fr/bielnov/Guide.htm if
you're not afraid of french.
 
thanks but i tried that already. no luck. my dvd's play with windvd but
not on media player or real player. i don't understand why it stopped.
