Out of the blue MS Windows Media Player 10 would minimize itself when
started. It will not allow me to bring it up though. Stays on the taskbar. It
is playing but you can't see anything. Any suggestions?

Thanks.
Chris

Open WMP,click Tools,click Options,click Performance tab,click Advanced
now,Clear the Enable full-screen mode switch click ok.

Would love to but it is minimized on the taskbar thus I can't get to any
menu's. When u open media player it immediately minimizes and that's it.

Click the Restore button in the lower-right corner of the mini Player
toolbar or press the keyboard shortcut combination ALT+SHIFT+P.

Right-click an open area of the Windows taskbar, point to Toolbars, and
then click Windows Media Player.

This removes the check mark beside Windows Media Player and turns off
mini Player mode.

Or (as this is a common problem in WMP) it's opening offscreen.

Right-click on the taskbar icon, and select Move. Then use arrow-keys to
bring it back into view.

That was it, thank Mike

Hi, I'm having the same problem and I used all your suggestions but
still can't get WMP to stop opening off screen. It immediately open
to the task bar and then when I click on it, I see what is in the tas
bar, skip across the screen to the right and disappear. I can't move
resize, maximize, nothing works. Help
