I've written a couple of times about problems I'm having with MS Media
Player, without any responses. I'm still trying to troubleshoot the
problem. I'm also hoping that maybe a full install "may" correct the
problem.

It seems as though when I install Media Player it already "see" itself
as being installed and basically ends the install. What are the various
switches/options available with MS Media Player install? I'm assuming
I'd need to run them via DOS prompt. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
Dan

Go to start, settings, control panel, and click on add remove programs.
Remove media player there first. then go to my computer, c:\progra~1 or
c:\program files and delete the folder Windows media player. If you want to
make sure all instances are completly erased, go to start run regedit.exe and
do a search for "wmplayer" and delete registry settings for ONLY this file.
Make sure you hit F3 to search for more instances of the file. Then reboot so
new registry settings will take effect before reloading media player or you
will still get its already installed.
