I recently developed a problem where it won't play MPG's
from web sites. It will play the audio but not video.
Other media formats play fine. Just not MPG's. MPG's I
have on my hard drive also play fine. I've checked and
rechecked all settings and nothing has changed. No
changes have been made to my system either. I have also
reinstalled WMP over and over. I don't know if it has
anything to do with the problem, but after reinstalling I
get an error: cannot find framedyn.dll. But it did
install. I've tried MSKB but couldn't find any solution.
I thought I fixed the problem by changing it's network
settings from browser to auto detect. It worked. If I
closed out of WMP and reopened for a different MPG, it
wouldn't work again unless I changed back to the browser
setting. I'm at a loss and getting really frustrated. If
I were able to totally uninstall it and do a fresh
install, maybe it would fix the problem. Any ideas?

Thanks for all the replys. Just thought I'd post this in
case anyone else was having the same problem. After doing
an extensive Google search, it turns out that in my case
it was because of an incompatible file used in Main
Concept MPEG Encoder. I uninstalled the program and now
everything is OK. It's a real shame, though. It was a
good program.
