B Bob I Dec 28, 2007 #4 OEM = Original Equipment Manufacturer. It gets installed when the PC manufacturer builds the PC. IF you get your hands on a copy, it would not upgrade your installation but wipe it out by overwriting it. You may find copies for sale on the internet.
