Firstly I should start by giving you the specs of my laptop in case that is
blamed as the problem. Its a HP pavilion Entertainment PC; Intel Core Duo 2
1.66 Ghz processors, dedicated GEFORCE GO 7400 graphics card with 2 Gigs of
RAM running on Windows XP Media Centre edition service pack 2.
When I run Reason, the CPU usage bar is barely even registering the program,
in other words my lap top is far more powerful than is required to run this
program. I am having no latency issues, as the lap top can run it at full
capacity or at the least capacity. What the problem is however, is that every
now and then whilst the programing is playing it skips forward. it does so in
such a manner that the tempo of the piece is lost, making thr program usless
for any live performances. This skipping is occuring completely randomly, and
not a feature of the computer struggling to run the program. in fact my
laptop never struggles to run the program at all, it is just skipping. It
does so in such a random manner that it is like a background program is
interfering for a second in the running of reason. What I need to know is how
to stop this, does it require an update, is it a windows program clash with
reason, is it perhaps the internal clock of the laptop, etc.
This is very important and I do not seem to be able to find an answer to the
problem anywhere. Thank you for your time...
