I am thinking of upgrading my computer to a media center, but there are
couple of things i am unsure of...

1. Windows media center, does it run on win xp or is it an OS on it self?
2. What are the TV/Graphic cards supported by WMC?

Media Center is a superset of XP Pro. There is no "upgrade" path to MCE, it means a clean installation.

It will do everything that Pro will do, except join a domain after the initial installation. If you join the domain during install, then you're fine, but after the install has been completed, joining a domain is disabled.

A list of hardware and software that are designed for MCE can be found here.
