My problem concerns the Media Center button on the IE Standard Toolbar.
After I loaded the Windows XP SP2 patch, the Media Center Button on the
standard toolbar is missing. I have the Favorites and the History buttons,
but the Media Button is missing.

Before loading SP2, I could select the media button and get a window on the
left side of the screen. That feature is still available with the Favorites
and the History buttons.

Can anyone tell me if the Media button was removed with SP2. If not, then
how can I get this feature back? I have already tried to go the View >
Toobar > Customize route. The media button is not shown in the "Available
toolbar" area.

Hi alf30a :-)

Try the following and see if it helps:

Media Bar Missing

To help improve security, Media Bar has been removed from Internet Explorer
6. For this preliminary release of SP2, however, the Group Policy settings
for Media Bar have not been removed. Because Media Bar is no longer
available, these settings will not function.

Although you can no longer use Media Bar, you can listen to digital media
by downloading and using Microsoft Windows Media® Player 9 Series.

If these steps do not resolve your problem, or you need help with the above,
please post back to this thread with the details and any error messages.

Hope this helps
