I've upgraded from ME to 2000 but when I reboot the system
it goes to my desktop but nothing is available...no icons,
the toolbar is missing, and the windows shortcut key
doesn't bring up a start button...in short I can't do
anything. I restarted in safe mode the first time to clear
up 2 hardware conflicts...a usb camera and my modem. I've
upgraded the drivers now and there are no hardware
problems that I can find. In safe mode the system works
normally....there are all my icons, my desktop pictures,
and everything else...when I reboot....the system just
comes up with an empty {and unusable} desktop. ANY help
would be very much appreciated.
