Hello, I wondered if anyone could tell me what the process MDM.EXE is. My
o/s is windows xp pro. Thanks

It stands for Microsoft Debug Manager. It tries to "debug" script errors
and other programming problems. If you don't write software, disable it's
startup in "msconfig" or simply move it to another folder so that it does
not run. It creates lots of files that start with fff---- which you can
safely delete.

To patrick, yeah i did look on google first. this is a help newsgroup so

Beg your pardon!
I gave you a link that gave explaination of the subject, I gave link to a
Google-cache-page so that you would see where exactly the pertinent words
where as to the subject.
So why do you specifficaly throw a curse at me for my trouble to find that
page?
It was not I that rebuked you, so why (as I say) throw your curse at me (by
name in particular) ?

Hi Mano,

Hello, I wondered if anyone could tell me what the process MDM.EXE is. My

It is Machine Debug Manager, it is installed with Office. You can
find the executable in Program Files\Common Programs\Microsoft
shared\VS7DEBUG

You can go to Start > Run > services .msc
Scroll down to where the service is and disable it.

Good luck

to patrick , i did put a second message in saying i didn't mean you, i
appreciate your help . it was meant for milton .
