MDI interface like in Visual Studio

Is it possible, with reasonable efforts, to implement MDI interface
like in Microsoft Visual Studio itself (with all that dockable panels,
splitters, etc)?

Don't know about 2005, but 2003 did not provide these tools out of the
box (dockable panels, auto-hide bars, etc). I found several 3rd party
products that did, however, and we are currently using SharpUI for this
sort of functionality.

Data Dynamics offers solutions for VB6 or .NET environments. For VB6
they offer ActiveBar 3.0: http://www.datadynamics.com/activebar For
..NET they offer SharpUI for .NET: http://www.datadynamics.com/sharpui.
There are other controls on the market as well, but you might start
there. I believe that Visual Studio.NET 2005 offers these controls out
of the box however.
