.mde file opens Acrobat Reader

Hi,
I have a .mde Access database that has been installed on a Windows XP
computer. When the person tries to open the file, Acrobat Reader opens and
gives the message invalid file type. Why is it opening Acrobat? This
program has been installed on other XP computers and works fine.

Your Windows file associations are messed up on that PC. Go into File Types
from Folder Options and fix the association for MDB/MDE/MDW/MDA to MSAccess.exe.
