i recently downloaded the free versions of mcafee
security centre and virus scan, but i want to take them
off my pc.when i go to add/remove programs it wont take
them off,ive tried system restore but it wont let me
restore to an earlier date,is there any other way i can
take these programmes off my pc

Reinstall, and then uninstall. If that does not help, try here:
www.mcafeehelp.com (Select the product version and read the manual uninstall routine)

Why? What exactly happens when you manually uninstall the product?
