McAfee Security Center ???

A 90 day trial for McAfee Security Center came with my new Dell computer.
Any experience on how it performs compared to Norton or other products of
the same type?

No Anti-virus noftware is PERFECT. New Viruses evolve every day. If a new
virus hits your computer (let that not happen)(it rarely happens), before
there is a cure, you will definitely have problems.

But... Don't worry. McAfee is a reliable anti-virus tool as good as Norton
or even Norman for that matter.

Also, if you have any computer security related questions, you can call
Microsoft for free tech support. Number is 1-866-727-2338

Not worth paying for.
 
I was using Norton Anti virus and found a Trojan-downloader virus yesterday.
Norton could not fix nor delete it. I could not delete it either.
Uninstalled Norton and installed McAffee. Found it and fixed it on the first
try. Plus I got it free through AOL.

I agree, and you get free virus scanners and firewall software by using the
google search engine. I used them, and they work fine for me.
 
For another week or so you can get eTrust for a free one year
subscription via Partner Pack (MS). For firewall, use either Zone
Alarm Free or Sygate PF Free.
