Hi All
I am using a VB6Program.exe program which is run by a windows service
twice a day in the hidden mode.
For some reason, McAfee antivirus software has become more aggressive
and is now seeing a harmeless VB6Program.exe as a virus and moving it
to the C:\QUARANTINE folder (and adding the extension .vir). I am
using the Windows XP Service Pack 2.

I am using it from 3 to 4 years but this problem has never occured
before this.

Do any one has any idea why McAfee antivirus software is doing so?

Thanks & Regards
Basharat

Bash,

There should be an ignore or an exclusion list within McAfee. I am not sure
where but most Anti-virus programs have one. Put the name of the file in
this list and it will not be quarantined. By the way I use Trend Micro
Products they are far superior to McAfee Good luck,

You should be asking McAfee tech support this. IMO you are better off
without it anyway. There are good alternatives, some of which are free.
