HI all,

Does any one know the number of Maximum users, Groups and
Computer accounts per domian in active directory.

If you know the article number for windows 2000 then
please post it too.

Thanks

My personal largest experience was 250k user ids, 200k computer accounts, and
about 100k group objects and there were no issues and wasn't expecting any.

Theoretically you should scale to millions and millions depending on the quality
of your hardware.

COMPAQ did some scaling tests at one point that put in millions of objects.

No

....but it's a lot.

10 million or more are certainly functional -- production domains of
this size exist.

100 Million domains have been "tested."

You need to be in Native mode for such large domains.

Windows 2000 is little bit resticticted in terms of users, groups , sites
and domain if you were to compare it with its partner w2k3. For example: the
max no of users you can have in w2k gpoup is 5000, the sites and domains are
inversly proportional to each other. etc.
