I am trying to backup a very large mailbox. I got a
message that stated that I encountered a maximum size on
the .PST.

What is the maximum size? Other than splitting things uo,
is there anyway to backup one mailbox to one file in it's
entirety?

The maximum size is 2GB.

You could split things up or you could empty their deleted items folder,
maybe archive some old sent items or old calendar items into an archive.pst
file? Look for messages with especially large attachments and see if you
can save those attachments to some other media, then delete the attachments
from the messages.

Try zipping the file. I recently copied my more than 990mb Outlook file to a 700mb disc by zipping it.

Good suggestion, but his problem isn't fitting the Outlook file onto the
disk; it's that the export process creates an Outlook file that is in excess
of the 2GB limit.
