Is there any way to increase the maximum size of a print job in XP Pro? I have a monthly print job that is very large. The last time it was run, the total print job size was 2.08 GB. When the job printed, spooler reached the 2.00 GB size and did not print anything in the last .08 GB. The job was 525 pages, and it printed 508 total pages. The max pagefile size is set to 1.5 GB. Does this job need to be printed through a different OS than XP Pro? The biggest issue is that this job is only going to increase in the future. Thanks in advance for any assistance

What printer are you using? Does the printer has its own memory?

Good luck

I am printing to a Xerox Document Centre 440ST. The printer does have some memory, but nowhere near the size of the print job. I have tried printing this document on two different PCs. The first one crashed (blue screened) twice before I gave up on it. It is a PII 450 with 512 MB of RAM. The second is a P4 2+ GHz with 512 RAM. It did run and print on the second one, but did not print the entire job. Any suggestions

Thanks

you probably need to move the print spooler file to a different location

http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=314105

I would strongly suggest breaking the job up if that is not possible you
need to make sure you have more ram and keep and eye when the job is
spooling as far as how windows is doing.

look at the help file on performance monitor

you will be able to see where windows poops out!

you may also want to email Xerox and ask them for tips on settings!
