We are running an XP Pro Server with about 12
workstations running XP Home and 98. We are running into
the maximum number of users problem because the server is
configured for max users of 10 (determined via net config
server).
Can anyone tell me how to increase the maximum number of
users?

XPpro is not a server and has a maximum concurrent session limit of 10. If
you need more, you'll have to get a server version of windows.

As others have stated, the MAXIMUM simultaneous connections on a WindowsXP
Pro PC is TEN. (XP Home is a mere five).

Next step up in the line for you is a Windows 2003 Small Business Server
which allows 75 simultaneous connections....

followed by the full Server operating system which is the Windows 2003
Server family which allow unlimited connections.
