Maximum number of rows in Excel XP (2002)

Can someone tell me the MAXIMUM number of rows in Excel XP
or how high have you been? We are getting read to deploy
Office XP and this is something we are taking into
concersation.

Hi Kevin

65536 rows per worksheet, absolute limit. Wether Excel is "filled" before
that depends on "rows with what". Pure text and numbers require no muscle.
Formulas are more demanding, how much is depending on their complexity.
Formatting like fonts and borders bloat the files and eats graphical memory,
so does controls and graphics.
