All,

Some time ago I saw a message about users who belong to more that 1000
groups not being able to logon (XP client and win2k AD I think) - does
anybody remember and what was the outcome - was this fixed in a service pack
of something?

Also there was something about groups that had 'x' numbers of users in it -
I believe that 5000 is the max, but, from the Microsoft docs I've seen, 5000
limit that Microsoft used during their own testing, so, does anybody know
where I can find out the true answer to this? I assume the 5000 was set
because of the implication on replication - any info on that would be also
greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks,

Mark.

See http://support.microsoft.com?kbid=275523 for workaround to 5000 user per
