Massive Help Needed for Internet Security

I need help please. (The first site this happened to was Yahoo! by the way) When I went into the Yahoo! e-mail page, a large window which took up 75% of the screen popped up. There were no minimize, close, or enlarge buttons in the top-right hand corner. When I right-clicked in the window, I went to View Source, and it created a WordPad document stating the HTML program used to make the window pop up. This is not the only page it has happened to. And obviously, its my computer, not the sites. Also, when I go to Properties of the window inside the window, it is named "Search Everything," an HTML Document and was Created AND Modified today, 6/21/04.

I also cannot change my Homepage back to www.my.yahoo.com instead whenever I change it back to Yahoo!, it changes back to some insane site, although it brings me to the Yahoo! page when I start Internet Explorer.

And I also have the Trojan Virus, which was Quarantined by Norton Antivirus when it was detected. They are

Please help me. I don't know if there is SpyWare or AdWare or none of those on my computer. Also, if you can give me some programs and sites which can Disinfect my computer, that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much!

Help Needed,

AdAware is a good protection tool for some problems. The browser hijack
programs that are currently plaguing so many will probably need more intensive
removal techniques, and expert advice, as noted below.

Start by downloading each of the following free tools:

HijackThis <http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=3155>
LSP-Fix and WinsockLSPFix <http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm>
Spybot S&D <http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=download>

Create a separate folder for HijackThis, such as C:\HijackThis - copy the
downloaded file there. Spybot S&D has an install routine - run it. The other
downloaded programs can be copied into any convenient folder.

Start by closing all Internet Explorer and Outlook windows, and running
CoolWebSearchSmartKiller, then CWShredder. Have the latter fix all.

Next, run Spybot S&D. First update it ("Search for updates"), then run a scan
("Check for problems"). Trust Spybot, and make all recommended deletions.

Then, install and run HijackThis ("Scan"). Do NOT make any changes immediately.
Save the HJT Log.

If removal of any spyware affects your ability to access the internet (some
