MAPI issues with case management software and GroupWise

I recently bought a litigation case management program
called Time Matters. One of the claims they make is that
the program's integrated email feature can replace MAPI
programs like GroupWise (which they specifically name).
Our office unfortunately uses GroupWise; I can't change
that.

Here's the problem: When I launch Time Matters and open
my Inbox, all of the mail that was sent to me since the
last time I accessed the mailbox is present; however, if I
try to check mail (regardless of whether GroupWise is open
or closed) nothing happens. Yet, if I completely shut
down Time Matters, reopen it, and go into the Inbox, any
email that was sent between the two times I opened the
program will appear in the inbox.

Time Matters claims that this is a MAPI issue (despite the
fact that their literature says their product can replace
GroupWise). I'm at my wit's end. Without being able to
use the email function, the program has limited appeal to
me. Can anyone offer a suggestion as to what the culprit
might be? Time Matters suggested updating my MAPI
drivers, but I have to get MIS to do that. My system
configuration is:

WindowsXP Pro, SP1
mapi.dll version is 4.0.835.993 (last modified 10/14/96)
mapi32.dll version is 4.0.835.1374 (last modified 10/14/96)
GroupWise version 6.5.1 (7/11/03)

Thanks for any suggestions

Looks as if you should be talking to the "Time Matters"
people, not the XP system newsgroup.
