I have a user that when he is trying to map a network drive it does not work.
He clicks on tools then "map network drive" and the computer does nothing,
no error nothing and he tried also the "net use" command and it the same
thing. He logons on to anohter computer and it the same thing. If someone
else logons on to the same computer it work OK. They don't use roaming
profile. Any idea?

Have the user try the "net use ... " command.

yes he tried it like I mention. he is also admin on the computer. The other
solution we have right now is to delete his account and to re-create it, but
this seems the last resort.

You indicated you used the GUI. You are saying that the command line "net use..." fails ?

How ?

the command line actually works they have told me that it was not. But for
the GUI you click on the map drive and its like if you were clicking on a
blank screen, no re-action nothing, no error. We think that there is
something wrong with his account. Doesn't matter witch computer you use it
the same thing. They will delete the account from the active directory and
re-create from scratch.

If the Command Line works then it is NOT an account problem. Maybe it is OS problem or Group
Policy problem, especially if not isolated to a particular PC.
