Many ferret owners do not know how to properly care for and maintain a ferret

There are many illnesses that ferrets commonly contract, and it is
difficult to know exactly what to do in every situation to ensure that
your ferret stays healthy.
Ferrets can become a huge burden if they are not properly trained. They
will instinctively bite, dig, and hide your belongings.
Sadly, ferrets commonly die due to the fact that their owners simply
did not know they were doing anything wrong...

I recommend running the Windows firewall and a good anti-virus program to
protect against those ferret-spread diseases.

Thank you for this helpful information. If I get a ferret, I'll be sure to
look into this. However, there is currently no MS Ferret add-in or powertoy
for Windows XP, so I believe you've posted this in the wrong group.

Doesn't the Windows Search function "ferret" out files or folders? ;-)

You should substitute the world "ferrets" for "Windows" and your posting
would make much more sense in this newsgroup and would be dead on.

Oh No! Not "the cinder block".......

The last time, and the ONLY time, I've seen a ferret in real life was on 9/9/01.
Some over 6 foot tall, 19 year old, blonde female, who I was totally in love
with at first sight brought a ferret into a stereo store and it ran around where
I was browsing. I felt like a short kid next to a tall love interest, and ready
to jump in her arms and have her carry me away (but my life won't allow that,
and I'm too heavy anyway!). She explained to the salesclerk, who must've been
her boyfriend, that she had lost the ferret several months before and found him
40 miles from home. I warned her that the ferret should not be loose in a
high-end stereo store, that it might do damage. She got in her car and left with
it, and I never saw her again. (..sniff, 'n the tears)

I still don't have 500 channels to watch at home -

I have a suggestion, too. It involves people posting useful and relevant
replies to specific technical questions, rather than irrelevant and
unoriginal autonomic rants--or, they stop posting entirely until they finish
going through puberty, and in the interim employ their spare time enjoying
other hobbies such as stamp collecting.

Not sure this will catch on, but it does seem like a great idea.

When was the last time you saw a cinder block, from the business end? You
can get in line. :)
