manually add DNS computer entry

I have got myself into a bit of a pickle by deleting one computer from the AD. I need to re-add this but cannot get into the local machine. Is there a way to manually add the DNS name to a computer in AD Users and computers?

Log on locally, then re-register the machine on the domain.
