I don't know whether this file is legit. or not, but I do
know it is able to replicate throughout my computer system
and I am unable to be rid of it. I've read some of the
posts with security problems and they sound like mine. I
have been fightng this for a little over a year and all I
know about it is, it invades everything! I am running
Windows XP Home. I can't download patches, it is capable
of undocking my hard drive, taking "pictures" of CD
Software, Web Pages, and pasting images so it appears I am
running the real programs. It, or someone, is also able
to re-assign every registry key ID number along with
permissions, it is able to run invisable side-by-side, or
behind your front page. It can give permission to load
hardware, or software with your name or ID number. I have
tried to report all of this, but it isn't considered
piracy, although they download music, games, etc., all
behind your computer identification and/or name. If I try
to change the program too much, I'm either locked out,
password changed, or my system shuts down and needs
completely re-loaded. I have no idea how to fix this or
find out if it is only this one file. I could really use
some help before I unplug this thing for ever!

If all that you state is true, the only place to start is with
a clean install of the operating system, using a format and
then install with the network disconnected. As soon as
you have logged in after the OS install, turn on the built-in
firewall and then visit Windows Update and install all
security critical updates. Then, install your choice of
anti-virus and other software.
When you start to use the system on the network, think about
every thing that you download and any email that you open,
before you download or open.
