max--thanks

outlook 2003
1) setting the default account does not seem to determine
which account a message uses when doing a forward or a
reply. is there a way to force use of the default account
in these cases?

2) can one do a send without also receiving, or vice-versa?

3) how does one prevent checking all accounts when only
trying to use one?

1. Outlook always uses the account on which the message was received for
replies and forwards. You will have to manually change it.

2. Tools->Send/Receive Settings->Send (may be send all if using more that
one account in the profile.)

3. See options in QN 2 and use the account that you want to send/receive on
only.

the SWEN virus, all mail sent to my personal account will be deleted
without reading.

After searching google.groups.com and finding no answer, max--thanks asked:
