im using norton antivirus 2003

i ocassions get this message, usualy when im online ithink

Alert: Malicious Script Detected

File :C:\WINDOWS\system32\-Embedding

Activity : Create text file


does anyone knw what this is and how i get rid of it

everrytime it asks me i STOP the script should i let it run?
 
No, don't let it run. That's either adware, spyware or possibly a virus trying to say a big howdy doody to your hard disk.

You do not want this thing. It's about as welcome as a wasp nest in your underpants.

Trust Nortons (yegods, I never thought I'd say that ;) ) and stop the bugger dead. Just like you're doing, in fact.

You know it makes sense :D

Psd yep it sounds like a nasty you have there... i just wonder what text file it is trying to create.... if you can identify it please let us know what it was that you have.. just out of curiosity....

ran them both Sir Mucks, dont know is its good news or bad

but there was nothing detected on my system!

and also that message hasnt come up since! but never say never!
