My OS is WIN XP on which i run Office 97 Arabic Edition (profissional) Win
Word and Excell are running perfectly in bilingual languages. Powerpoint
doesn't run and give the message that there's a fatal error prevents the
program from running. I reinstalled the Office, but it did not make any
good.

Hm. Is there any other information in the error report? For instance,
sometimes the error will say something like "fatal exception in VBX something
something at module something something." Sometimes those can give us an idea
of what's happening, especially if the fatal exception points to a video
driver.

In the interim, I'd probably try deleting *.PCB files -- those are your PPT
toolbars. They'll be recreated the next time PPT starts, but you'll lose any
customizations.

I'd also try renaming any *.PPA files -- those are PPT add-ins -- to *.OLD
or something like that . If PPT starts after you rename those, you can then
name them back to *.PPA one at a time to isolate the problem add-in.
