Making Shortcuts to a Resource Calendar

Hi there. I have looked for answers to this in google, as well as technet
and the slipstick website. I can't find an answer that meets my exact
situation. I tried the calendaring group, but didn't get any response there.
Being as this is a more active group, maybe I'll have better luck here.

I want to be able to give all my users a shortcut to our resource calendars
(for checking boardroom availability in our case). This can either be on
their desktop or in their outlook shortcut bar. My users have either the 98
or 2000 versions of Outlook here.

I figured one way to set up a shortcut by adding the resource mailbox to the
user's outlook profile. However, this is a rather involved process that I
don't think the users can set up themselves. In addition, I don't want to
have to give everybody access to the resource's inbox.

Please let me know if anyone has another way of getting these shortcuts set
up. If a third party program is required, that is okay too.

Thanks
Brian

Where is the resource mailbox located? In the Public Folders? You might want
to set them directly under the root then for easy navigation. Forcing a
shortcut isn't the way to with your users I think; it's up to them as they
have to work with it. You can also post a shortcut to the folder on your
intranet if you have one. Use the following link;
<outlook:\\Public Folders\All Public Folders>

No the boardroom has its own account. Is there a way to put the boardroom
calendar in a public folder and still have users include it in their meeting
requests? We are running Excahnge 5.5.

Thanks
Brian

Yes this is possible. You can "mail enable" a public folder so you can mail
it.
