Hi,

I have just begun writing my thesis which may end up having 400+ pages. The problem is, I sometimes want to refer my readers to section X on page Y for details. But I hate it if I need to manually insert the page numbers or the section numbers because I constantly make changes on the drafts of the thesis. If I write refer to section 5.3 on page 200 but I later add one more section before section 5.3, the section number and the page number will have to be manually changed again. I wonder if there are any functions MS Word 2003 (OS: Windows XP English) that can handle the problem nicely. That means, a function that automatically update the page numbers and section numbers in the text.

I will be extremely grateful if anyone can help coz that will help save my time when my thesis gets longer and longer.
