Making IE-6 the default browser

I made Netscape 7.1 the default browser and intended for that to be
temporary, however, I cannot seem to get the default back to IE-6. I have
checked the box to have IE-6 check to see if it is the default browser, but
it doesn't.

What now?

Just to confirm: When you checked the box to have IE check that it is
the default, did you apply \ okay \ exit IE? The question isn't asked
until you re-enter. I suppose rebooting wouldn't hurt.
