I would like to know if it is possible to make a tick in outlook. I.e if
somebody gets a question correct I would like to place a tick beside it.

Thanks in advance.

Scripts are not allowed to execute in HTML-formatted e-mails. Would YOU
want someone running unknown and unauthorized scripts on your host?

At the end of a sentence. I would reply to the email and make the responses.
I have looked through the shapes available in the ribbon on Outlook 2007 but
there is not a tick shape i can use.

I thought it might be possible because the are many shapes available in the
ribbon of Outlook 2007. It's just none of them a shaped as a tick.

You can do that with a font - like webdings. Look at the insert ribbon -
symbol section.

Yes i have had a look there b4, unfortunately there is no tick. I have also
looked under wingdings and wingdings2 without success. I wouls of thought a
tick would be something many people would like to have access to?

Great question! as i cannot produce one it's a little hard to show you. :) I
think you are indicating the mathmatical formula that looks similar to a
tick. The problem here is some of the answers I mark are mathmatical
questions.

ps thank you for all you help.

Well, to me, a tick would be a checkmark - a simple checkmark is in the
weddings (character 97), both a check and check inside a box is in wingdings
(char 252, 253). Wingdings2 also has variations of checkmarks.

You can copy-and-paste it from here: ✓

Or use Character Map to copy from a Unicode font at U+2713.

Note that the message should be Unicode-encoded.

Many people cponsider apostrophes to be "ticks". Some people consider boxes
enclosing an "X" to be "ticks". Some people consider check marks to be
"ticks". What you YOU consider a "tick" to be? You're using a term that has
no objective meaning.
