Making a Template unmodifyable except by me

Hi there,

We have a special template set up for the office on our
shared drive that others use to bring in styles. However
if someone modifies it, and adds to the template, the
template changes. I want to protect it against anyone
changing it but me.

How to do this?

You could try setting the Modify Password option when you save the
template. Try this:

Open the template. Type a few characters and then delete what you typed
(this to make Word think something has changed in the template; it won't
let you save it otherwise). File | Save As | Tools | Security Options |
Password to modify: <type your password> | OK | Save.

Shared network drive? Set the folder permissions for everyone else to
read-only for that folder. I take it that this is _not_ normal.dot.
