Making (a single) pdf document from the print window

Any chance you could give me some advice? When I try to make a pdf document
from the print window in OX 10.28, I am getting the document split into 2 (at
one time, 3) pdf documents. The breaks are on section breaks; after multiple
trys, there seems to be (no other pattern) to how its breaking the original
document, that is, it has broken it up at more than one different section on
different trys. The original (Word) document is fairly large; some 172 pages
with a lot of graphics.

Do you have any ideas on how to have it make only one pdf document?

Your assistance would be most appreciated. Ed

Since you are using a Mac and the pdf driver is not part of Word, you'd be
better off posting your question in either a Mac OS newsgroup or maybe the
Office for Mac group. Most of the people here are Windows users.

I'm afraid this is a very common problem. For some reason many printers
including Apple's print-to-PDF driver seem to interpret some section breaks
as end-of-document commands. Even Acrobat Pro, itself, will sometimes do the
same thing.

The surest remedy is to obtain one of the PDF-stitcher utilities available
on the web - VersionTracker.com is as good a site as any - and use it to
combine the multiple PDFs into one if you don't already have software that
will do it. Most are either free or shareware at a very reasonable cost.
