making 2003 look like 2000

John Constable

I've just upgraded to 2003 from 2000.

I have a couple of viewing issues to deal with:

1) how do I get the small calendar that appears at the top of the navigation
pane on the left to display top right and to show more than one month at a
time - just as it does in 2000.

2) All the category headings in my task list take up two lines and one is
blank so I'm wasting a lot of precious onscreen space. Can I set this to
display category headings using one line, like 2000?

Many thanks to all who respond here on these forums (fora?). If it wasn't
for people like you, people like me wouldn't really have anywhere to go.
Thanks everyone.

John, I'll tackle your first question. From your Outlook calendar, View
(menu) > TaskPad. Date Navigator will appear on the right, just as in 2000.
Use your mouse to drag the borders to display more calendars.

Ahhhh...Bingo!

I had already done that but it didn't seem to work. I just followed your
instructions and it still didn't seem to work.

But on an impulse I had a play with the right hand edge of the calendar
window and guess what...it must have been there all the time but squeezed
down to nothing!

I won't be applying for a job in IT just yet.... :o)
